Beech Mountain’s Commercial District Gets a Vision for the Future
Big things are in the works for Beech Mountain! The town has partnered with a consulting team led by Hill Studio and Civic by Design to develop a long-term plan for its commercial district — one that focuses on walkability, accessibility, and smart, sustainable growth over the next twenty years.
The plan aims to create a true center of town with space for mixed-use residential and retail, dining, lodging, and services, while also easing traffic congestion along the Beech Mountain Parkway. The consulting team brings together planners, architects, transportation specialists, data analysts, and economists to help make that vision a reality.
Community engagement kicked off in April, continued with public sessions in May, and the process is moving into its next phase this July. Design Charrette Week 2 sessions will be held at The Venue at Boulder Creek, 1001 Beech Mountain Parkway, and are open to the public. Some sessions are interactive community discussions, while others are informational presentations.
📅 July Schedule:

| Tuesday, July 8 | 9–10:30 am | Market Feasibility – Presentation |
| Tuesday, July 8 | 6:00 pm | Public Review and Discussion |
